Kimberly Burnett

A blonde woman wearing glasses and a floral top.

Art is not something Kimberly chooses to make. It has always been as natural as breathing to her. Life is chunks of color and smears of light and it is this experience that she hopes to convey on canvas. She would like people to look at her art and feel the full breadth of what it is to be human.

“I get inspired by old Scandinavian and Japanese art. The composition and line work in the classical art of these regions is extraordinarily beautiful to me. I like to work with squares of color, made around and over organic shapes and lines. Color is very important to me, and I often push the saturation as far as I can.”
